EvoCell is using its technology to derive pluripotent reprogrammed cells from somatic cells of domestic animals. The reprogramming technology will facilitate the derivation of pluripotent cells from domestic animals. A higher efficiency in generating pluripotent cells will simplify the methods for generating transgenic animals. Reprogrammed cells will also be amenable for cloning, increasing the efficiency of this process.
